Vue type volumetric (fly through) infinite skys?
does anyone adept in both maya and vue know if there is a way to duplicate the infinite type of clouds that vue does?
I would like to use/create the types of atmospheres in maya that I can in vue so I can fly through them and make epic scenes.
Also this is the base for a new project/WIP for creating Jupiter style clouds sytems and storms for a planetary atmosphere video I am working on.
Createing all the atmospheres of the (12 planets, past and current,) from the planets surface point of view.
I have vue xtream 11 and maya 2014. they do not intergrate together, I know vue 11.5 does go with maya 2014, but I still find the intergration troublesome especially that it does not match up real world measurements very well. Plus any fluids containers I want to use never propagate properly with the render. (leave black boxes where the container is, ignores vue lighting) and the render times are horrible.
I am a vue lover and will always use it but I need to find a smoother workflow.
So how to recreate the awesome vue atmospheres using mentalray sky/sun?
