Question Help Identifying an effect please.

Hey Guys & Gals,

I am wondering if you can help me identify an effect.

I believe it has been created in AE and I have seen it many times before.

The reason I can't seem to find anything on the effect is that I just can't find the terminology for it.

An example of the effect I am talking about starts at 0:14 of this animation

Any help would be great as its been driving me nuts for a week now!

Thanks
Liam

Well that was embarressing.

I just discovered a 'behind the scenes' of the animation in questions and have discovered that it was done using spline dynamics in C4D - Breakdown below and effect at 0:21

My next question would be. Is this possible to do in AE?

Thanks
Liam

Sure. You'll just have to hand-animate it or use Plexus with some expressions.
