(solved) Need help regarding adding planar projection options to custom shelf
I have a slight problem (and am curious in general) when trying to add a custom shelf button for planar projections.
I thought it would be a good idea to utilise the 'popup menu items' feature of the shelf editor, and add the x, y, z, and camera projections to the list. That way I could right click on the planar projection button, and select the appropriate projection from the drop down list.
The problem is- when I get the command for planar projection (in y axis for instance),
Quote: polyProjection -ch 1 -type Planar -ibd on -kir -md y ;
...it only works when I have the objects faces selected- it doesn't work when I just have the object selected. Which is weird as it works fine on objects through the current menus.
Anyway- if anyone knows how I can get the code working to planar project via object selection, without having to select faces, that would be great.
Cheers and looking forward to a reply,
edit: Solved. The working code is something like this...
Quote: ConvertSelectionToFaces; polyProjection -ch 1 -type Planar -ibd on -icx 0.5 -icy 0.5 -ra 0 -isu 1 -isv 1 -md x ;setToolTo ShowManips;
