Teddy Bear

Hi everybody,

I'm working on this image, it's a detail of a children's room, and I'd like to know your opinion.
Please, share your comments, thanks!

your post may be a bit premature, not really much to go off of. if i were to crit though i would say that the hairs seems a bit sharp. maybe some kink or curliness or varying lengths would alleviate this. also in comparison to the teddy bear the base board seems a bit small.

I have a little experience with making teddy bear.

By the way, I think its overly exposed. What tools did you use to create the fur on the teddy bear?

The arms of the teddy bear seems a little stiff. I would expect the arms to be lowered by the force of gravity.

I see also another problem with the teddy bear. There is a sharp change of angle for the fur at the end of the arms & legs.

I believe this is a result of not making a more gradual form (like a radius), on the base mesh of the teddy bear around the arms & legs.

Teddy Bear

Thanks for your comments.

I used VrayFur (3ds Max)

Here you can see the mesh of the teddy bear I have used

This is the VrayFur parameters I have used.

In my view, The teddy bear should be the shape that you want the final bear to look, factoring the length of the fur, like it be on a real life teddy bear.

Not to promote my own WIP thread, but you can see how alike the 'un-furred' bear looks, compared to the Teddy bear with Fur.

Without Fur

With Fur.
