Pivot point


I'm new to modo, and coming from maya, so i have few questions regarding modo.

First thing is pivot point. When i use move tool in polygon mode, i really don't like that whenever i by mistake use RMB click, it puts pivot point on that spot. I see move tool has some "pivot and gimbal" options, but both are disabled, and gimbal is checked it seems.

Is there any way to change this, so that i cannot by mistake change the pivot, unless i really want to?

And second thing, when i zoom camera, sometimes, after releaseing buttons, it not only zooms, but also rotates camera, but really fast...can be a bit anoying at times.

In the modelling toolbar at the top of the UI you will see a drop-down named Action Centers. Activate the "Selection" action center and your pivot will always stay in the middle of your selected geometry.

It's worth spending some time understanding how all the different action centers work in modo, they are very useful for modelling.
