I just tested my new Z840 (I've switched from a Mac Pro 2010 dual 6 core):

Xeon E5-2667 v3
Dual 8 core 3.2 GHz
32Gb RAM
Windows 7
Quadro K4200

Open GL: 152.22fps
CPU: 2629 cb

Not had chance to do much work on it yet and ironically what I have done has been in the Unreal engine where most of that power is wasted. Very happy though.

OK - thanks for both answers.
I think X-Particles is mutithreaded at least in some processes (not sure about Turbulence FD) but so far, I can tell there is a significant boost in most of my work.
Very happy for now.

Also - caching mograph and dynamics.
