Quote: What would you rather see of him?

this maybe?

My personal disappointment with the second season is Jon Snow storyline. He's just wandering around looked puzzled and grumpy. Samwell is also never showing his qualities.

What kind of sadist uploads a VFX breakdown as 360p?

Frustrating..this reel has to exist as HD somewhere, but it's not on Pixomondo's Vimeo or site.

Anyway have been consistently impressed by the work on the series.

Hasn't that already been posted in this thread? The clip is actually quite old (BlueBolt didn't work on Series II), so it's a bit strange that someone has reposted it in Youtube this week O_o

Still, a great clip regardless.

Thanks!

I have to say that since the tomes 4 and 5 were a bit meh, my memories of GoT are a bit bruised.
Reading the Malazan series right now. Pretty good!

Book 4 is mostly unliked because of abandoning the fan favorite characters, but it is nonetheless very well written and interesting, especially the uncompromising depiction of medieval war and its cruelty on the common folk.

And Book 5 is just a bit too much of a tease, without delivering a proper bang at the end.

While maintaining the rule of no book spoilers, I will say it is encouraging that they seem to be condensing a bit since the books took a LONG TIME through some stretches. I love the detail and all the incidentals along the way but I will be glad for a little brevity.

Unless of course they run out of story before he finishes the next damn book. :P

It certainly felt unedited/unrevised to me.

Book 3 will last through seasons 3 and 4; and I imagine they'll adapt book 4 and 5 at the same time, as the events happened in chronological order and not as they were published. So a chapter from book 4 and a chapter from book 5 could end up in the same episode.

Anyway, the point is they already have enough material for as long as season 6, which means 2016. I know it took Martin a LOT of time to write A Dance with Dragons, but if he really has the ending figured out already then he should be able to pick the pace up as he gets closer to it - less and less to figure out. Or, HBO could always add an extra season's worth of stuff from the last two volumes if they're getting ahead too far
