Car Modeling Trouble. Curves and Edges.

I've posted a WIP of a 1961 Jaguar E Type in the WIP section and have asked for some help there as well, but maybe this is a better place to ask. I'm having trouble with creases. On this model for instance I want a hard crease on the lip where the hood meets the body, but I don't want to carry that crease through the smooth curves of the body. What would be the right way to go about modeling a section like that. I'd really appreciate any help.

Have you tried moving the edges up a bit so they aren't as close to the corners? That's usually faster than deleting edges.
