Character Transformation

I've crated two different characters (neck above), I want to create a transformation from one to another, simple can be described as a human turns into a monster. How I can do that in maya?

Have a look at some documentation about Blend Shapes, they might be what you are looking for

Blend shapes is exactly what you are looking for, I actually read a book that covered that specific task quite in depth for Maya though it is a few years old now.

There are 2 books a part one and two, I don't recall what specific portions were covered in each one but if you see them in a library or local book store you might check them out. Great references for that sort of specific project. They cover a transformation from human to werewolf quite in depth to the point of driven displacement maps to add even more realistic detail to the character throughout the animation.
