Superfad Studios Closes Shop

Quote:

"Rumors of the 12-year-old tri-coastal studio’s demise were confirmed this am from sources high inside the company, saying only, “The partners wanted to do different things and couldn’t work out a deal.” The Seattle, New york and Los Angeles studios will all wind down as current jobs are completed.

While it is sad to see a shop of this caliber fade away, it’s also exciting to think what may happen when so much talent, drive and experience scatters to chase new prey."

That's a shame..... I just saw Justin speak in NY. Was a nice talk, so I look forward to seeing what he ends up doing!

If anyone from Superfad wants to move to Minneapolis I hear MAKE is hiring

The quoted statement probably is one sided and not a proper reflection of what really happened.

Wow! Another one. Well THAT sucks.

Think about how terrifying it must be to be graduating school and then start seeing all of these closures. I can only imagine. Not to make light of a bad situation, but it'd be like Lloyd Bridges from the movie "Airplane". I'd be in a state of panic.

Where's the light at the end of the tunnel?
