Unwrap

Though ive technically had a class on it and a good while to work in it im still having a bit of headache. Any good tips on unwrapping as I continue to play with it more to get the hang of it?

Thanks for the link, reviewed most of that stuff in my class and a little more. Not quite understanding the Pelt Map and when I should use it, let alone any of the peel tools.

Well that depends on what you're unwrapping. Pelt is spring based so it can stretch the UV er pelt. Peel is a different algorithm that minimises stretching so is better if used on something that doesn't need any distortion like a box. But you have to makre sure there are enough seams or you can get quite a size difference. Try doing a box with both and see.

Generally speaking Peel is newer than pelt so is more likely to give a better result for organic objects too, but sometimes pelt will be better.
