dialectric material issues

Hey ya,

Im rendering an exterior shot of a building that has global illumination lighting on the inside where the offices are. My windows are using MR Dialectric the problem is the shader isnt allowing the GI rays through, or any light rays for the matter through to the camera. If I swap it out for a blinn shader with refractions I can see the inside lighting scheme.

Forgot to mention that the windows are just planes so single sided, would this make the difference?

Any help much appreciated.

All good, found the culprit. Somehow I had a midtone in the color of the dialectric.

Out of curiosity, is there any reason you're not using the mia_material_x?

Na no reason except that I was going through some old training material I dug out of the cupboard which used the Dialectric. It works fine for what I need as Im just doing a single beauty pass nothing fancy.
