[Newbie Q] Rigid Body Dynamics

What I was hoping was the ball after falling from midair and meet the floor would eventually break,
but what happen after the collision is that the ball just bounces a bit and started to roll.

In the objects panel, I made sphere, and broke it into pieces by explosion FX, then parented it to a fracture object. Eventually adding the the rigid body tag both to the fracture object and floor object.

Any thoughts?

1. on the fracture object change mode to "Explode Segment & Connect"
2. change the "Individual Elements" (any other option then off will do)

in the rigid body tag of your fracture object you have to set collison>individual elements
to all. but you sphere will explode in mid air and not when it hits the floor.

on collision would mean the sphere doesnt move.
if the strength of the explosion object is set to .01 then it wont explode
