Multi Shader To Move When Using Offset In A Cloner

I'm using the multishader on a cloner to make each of my clones a different colour between white and black.

This is working fine until I animate the offset within the cloner. As you can see in my attached image the multishader doesn't travel with the offset. I basically would want the colour range to move and scale with the offset so no matter how many clones I have the colours always go from white to black.

My scene is much more advanced than this but this simple scene shows my problem. Am using Vray and render instances which limits how I can achieve this.

Any ideas would be much appreciated?

Can you tell us how you used the MultiShader to get the blend between B&W?

Create multiple colours between black and white within the multishader. Then set the mode to index ratio and apply it to the cloner.
