UV Mapping help

Hi guys, I'm currently teaching myself UV Mapping can I please get constructive criticism on my UV Mapping, I've done it all inside Maya.

Thanks guys.
I'd really appreciate it if some of you guys that are confident doing these things could add me on skype so I can talk to you personally.

UV mapping is pretty straightforward; it's either correct or incorrect, no middle ground. Apply a checkerboard texture to your model - is the pattern correct, or is it squashed or stretched? If it's squashed or stretched, then you need to fix it.
