Step by Step

Hi, beginner in 3d studio max,
and really having trouble with shader.

I want to study about it but I couldn't really find a good tutorial for it.

There is so many things to learn.

In order to make good shader

I think I need to know about the map (noise and such) in 3d studio max and basic shader (mix and such).

then I think i need to know about how the vray material works.

but thing is i don't know where i can get good reference about these.

can anybody suggest me any good book? or dvd so I can really start to learn from basic and work my way up?
