For me it's mainly a thing of, if you draw the line at a certain place, that's fine, all I'm getting at is if it starts to be something truly subjective, where do you stop?

It would unravel the whole thing, considering how much zapping and exploding and punching and potential maiming there is in the series. Sharks, missiles, ray guns, exploding carnival games, hell, look at what the Minions do to each other or have done to them.

They picked a general level of crazy cartoon violence for their world, and they seem to be sticking to it, I don't think this suddenly goes too far just because a thing exists. But that's just like, my opinion, man.

Exactly why I keep asking if anybody who complained has better ideas. In reality the gags are there for context or theme-carrying purposes. It's like if the Hulk were barred from fighting with a closed fist because of the influence he'd have on kids - what gags would he be left with?

These are the same people who may ostracize everyone in this thread for the amount of times the word panties appears. lol

Oh wow. I wonder if they can carry a show by themselves. My mind is picturing a film about Jawa's minus the hoods.

Well, he could just fall back on the couple of decades old, tried and true formula of just kicking the opponent in the nuts? (maybe not fair and balanced as most, not all from what I've been told, females would not have any nuts to kick.) That tactic is employed in such a ubiquitous manner in film and tv media that you'd have to be a hermit to have missed it.

If we are going with "gags dangerous for small children to emulate" the taser is better than kicking in the nuts because to kick people in the nuts the kids won't need any special equipment whereas the taser is in that realm of "unattainable items" for young children except for exceptional cases.

It's the same reason the time machine in Back to the Future was changed from a Refrigerator with a Flux Capacitor to a De Lorean car with a Flux Capacitor - They didn't want children pretending to be in "Back to the Future" to lock themselves in common refrigerators.

That is one case where I agree a gag would have been bad: "time traveling in a refrigerator".
