May 15th - June 15th Speed Modeling Challenge!

Great. First time doing this so here goes nothin'.

I'll start by posting 10 ideas and people can start posting references and WIP's here. The final submission must be clearly stated as so. On June 16 I'll be posting a new thread for the new challenge as well as a voting thread so a winner can be decided.

Now, a set of rules:
  • Time limit is 3 hours
  • Don't spend time uvmapping, texturing and rendering until you're done with the modeling
  • Remember to post in your final submission your modeling time, poly count, wireframe render and a quick render of the model
  • Post model suggestions here so we can make better challenges every week!

If I've missed anything feel free to tell me. You can use any software you choose to as long as it's 3d.

Finally!

Here's the list for the May 15th Speed Modeling Challenge:
  • War helmet (Any time period)
  • Sneakers
  • Old telephone
  • Satellite
  • Desktop computer
  • Laptop computer
  • Old fashioned chair
  • Human hand
  • Frog
  • Tree

Happy modeling!

All right! Here's my old telephone!

Modelling Time 3h

I wish I had some more time to do the cables, ohh well.
Meshes with circles in it are always a little headache, I've never done a cylinder with circles in it before, it was pretty fun.
I'll update with a render and a polycount later on.
I have a project to do now.

Thanks and good luck!

EDIT: Haha, I just realized I have 11 holes instead of 10. Will correct tomorrow.
CRAPPP Maya crashed and I lost the file. I can not believe this. My backup was way before. I guess this has to be my final thing. Ohh well, I'll come back for the next challenge!

Toasty, I don't think you have to uv, texture and render in the 3 hours timeframe, that's just for modelling.

No UV

Oh okay, Thanks good that I went out for camera equipment first, instead of finishing the project. That leaves me with 40 min for Modeling :3

My old phone. Kellog 1908 Pat Candlestick + Ringer Box

I got it about 95% finished in the 3 hours, and admittedly took another 20 minutes to add a couple last minute things and tweak some of the topology. The gray models are from the 3 hour mark and the beige ones are after the final tweaks. Modeled in Maya 2015.

View in 3D on sketchfab!

Looking forward to the next challenge!

Took exactly 2 hours and 52 minutes. There's a lot more detail I would of liked to add in but ran out of time. 3 hours was definitely a challenge and I had to cut a lot of corners and ended up having a larger poly count because of it. (around 150k)

(open in new tab for full size)

Hour1

Hour 2

Completed:
