One Life, Francesco D'isa (2D)

Title: One Life
Name: Francesco D'isa
Country: Italy
Software: Photoshop

My latest digital work. Model is Rebecka (the face) and Pashun (the body).
I try to mix geometrical design with erotic surrealism. Feedback is really welcomed.

My first thought was of the work of Man Ray, but upon reflection I am not so sure.

I see three main components in your work - geometry, the erotic (figurative), and the visceral. I think that the geometrical elements save the image from becoming grotesque.

The integration of the head and body need some more work - the face does not have the same lighting as the body and also appears to be flatter. The type of integration that you are doing needs to be completely convincing, in order to keep the work from falling apart.

The work has a fascinating quality to it. You have succeeded laying down the geometric, figurative and visceral (hand?) elements in such a way that allows for many different readings of the work. That sort of ambiguity can be very fascinating.

I took a look at your website - some very interesting work.
