Need Help with Zbrush Workflow!

Hi, I need some help with my texturing workflow.
I have a character that I want to subdevide the head for fine detail, but find it unnesssary to include the body .
Is there a way to subdivide the head to pump out lots of detail without having the body portion slow down zbrush?
Btw, my character doesn’t have clothes so separating the model into parts may present an issue when rigging down the line.

duplicate your body (never screw with your original) and cut the head off of the body along the same edge you used for your neck seem and just export the head as an OBJ.
