Fine-tune rotation/translation

Does anybody know about any settings that would allow me to rotate and translate more finely in my viewport (specifically my camera for manually tracking plates)?

The problem is that I want to match objects in my viewport to my live-action image plane sequence by rotating and translating the camera around manually in the viewport, but in doing so the smallest value change is far too much. I noticed that while in my perspective view I can zoom into my camera and thus translate more finely, but the same cannot be done with the rotation. Any ideas?

There's a few ways you could do this. First you could try selecting the rotation attribute in the channel box, and then while holding ctrl, middle mouse drag in the viewport. Alternatively you can switch the mode with the three buttons at the top right of the channel box. The default is to use manipulators, but if you change it to the middle button (pie graph), you can adjust the sensitivity of changing attribute values using middle mouse button in the viewport. You can also single click the rotation manipulator for whatever axis you want (it turns yellow), then middle mouse drag in a blank part of the viewport.

For fine tuning rotation and scale with the manipulator in the viewport:
Increase the manipulator size with the plus key ( minus key for opposite direction ).

click your object then in the attribute editor go to transform attributes. Click in the desired rotate channel, then hold down command (maybe alt in windows?) and left click drag inside the channel box. Left click dragging will give your very small fine movements, middle click drag will give you medium size movements and right click large movements.
