Did you notice in 2014 finaly we will have a viewport closeup !!!??

At the moment the only way was to use virtual viewport using open gl!

That is really cool and looks super user friendly to boot. It is going to be pretty invaluable for arc-viz.

Looks like couple of crowd TD's may loose their jobs. If Autodesk didn't f****d it up.

Why, whatever do you mean. Max always works great and all the components act the way they are supposed to all the time with no lag or crashes.

Phew! Made it thought the sarcasm filter.

That said the crowd sim does look cool and it finally looks like they are cleaning up the interface so it doesn't look like there are 14 different applications shoved into 1.

Surely looks nice! We're currently looking for a similarly simple solution for Maya and have nothing on the radar so far (I'll gladly take any clues!).

It'll be interesting to see if you can get the agents out of Max into Maya through Alembic or FBX, or if it needs max to run/render properly due to some procedural shaders or something.
