Exporting a procedural material as a png or jpeg

So I got this crazy idea...

I've used pelt mapping to get some good results for procedural materials like denim and water but I'd like to export the results so I can add more specific details in something like inkscape, paint.NET, or "I spent all my money on 3d programs so I'm working on workarounds."

Is there a way I can export a procedural map as a png or a jpeg?

You can use Render to Texture to bake your maps to an image.

Right click on the material and choose render map. Pick the dimensions for size, and choose single or range if its animated. Hope this helps.
