When I was young and already a Ray Harryhausen fan, I used to think that his monsters and creatures were real robots! Who knows, maybe I'll still be alive to see something like that in theme parks and such.

Well, at least the robot apocalypse will be really cool looking.

I thought of that when watching the JP mechanical T-rex footage and wondering how I would react if that head poked out from a bush at me-then realizing it must sound pretty noisy with all those mechanical gears.

I thought the robot "cheetah" was creepier.

And there's a brief moment of this humanoid robot being pushed at about 0:15 in this video.

The internet is now complete. Robotic cats are pretty much what the world has been waiting for.

But seriously, I think the phrase "It can be used for search & rescue" has just become a euphemism for "We cannot wait to sell this to the military!"
