3ds max 2013-Error: Invalid flyout button ID

When starting 3ds max 2013, I'm getting this error("Invalid flyout button ID") popup (since a couple of days). I can close several of them and then work. The only way to solve it temporarily is to delete the MaxStartUI.bprx and MaxStartUI.cuix files. But this only solves it for 1 3ds max boot. On the next boot I'm getting the same error.

Does anybody have a solution for this? It seems this error is present from earlier versions of 3ds max.

I already repaired my 3ds max installation but no effect on the error.
Any tips are greatly appreciated.
BTW I'm running Windows 7 64-bit

The menus have gotten corrupted. You can fix it using these steps:

01. Exit 3ds Max
02. Rename the ENU folder to ENU-BAK
By default it is in: C:\Users\<your account name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2013 - 64bit (Select the correct build for your install)
03. Restart 3ds Max

That will reset all menus.

Hi Kelly,

thank you for the quick reply.
I'll try it when I get the chance to restart Max (running a long FumeFX sim at the moment).
But I have not doubt it'll work, coming from the Beta Manager!

Thanks again!

Thank you. Worked very well.

Thanks so much for asking this and the reply. I've had the same error and thought it was because I installed a script to disable the Info Center. I was just going to live with it.

So thanks for the solution!
