Question, unwanted results with PathDeform modifier, I wish someone could help

Hello,
I always have this problem but never find a solution
I have this stairs railing (showing in the attachment pictures) and want to apply it on stairs railing path, I tried all the parameters of PathDeform Modifier but it always make unwanted distortion and bad results...
Any idea how to fix this?
File in the attachments.
Thank you

It seems this is what I'm looking for really, but unfortunately, I don't know Russian, I tried to translate it but it never works...
Thank you so much

here...just scrub between frames -5 and 0 and observe the magic right before your eyes..

So i just did a rough proof of concept....you should redo it more carefully...with the placement of the knots and their tangents....hey I can't be arsed spending hours making sure it looks perfect....that's your job...

EDIT: well hey guess what...I never bothered to check the tutorial link provided in previous post..coz I'm all about DIY...use me own friggin' brain and work things out...then after I've solved it....looked at the link....it's using skinwrap too...surprise surprise....
