I'm very pleased with my upgrade. I used to go fix models in other packages.
The thing i love the most on the modelling part is speed of modeling.
I have another lw kinda program in my arsenal but still like lightwave more.
Lightwave always stayed my preferred 3D tool.
With a good training and knowledge, u can get everything done with the native tools
and some nice free plugins. Dont need them but hey, if they are free, why not use them.

Another advantage for me was the beautifull and fast hair renders, Rigging without weightmaps, MIS, hypervoxels, pixel per polygon rendering, good dynamics. Offcourse the shading using nodes etc... To mutch to mention. Just go for the update
