How would I find out what keystrokes Maya considers valid?

So, tonight, because I am running out of space on my keyboard, I tried to input characters like into the Maya hotkey editor only for it tell me to enter a 'valid key'.

I tried poking around but I wasn't able to find a list of which keystrokes Maya considers 'valid' so how would I go about finding out? Is there a .mel file somewhere?

Window - Settings/Prefs - Hotkey Editor - List All..(on the right) ...another window will open and you'll see in separate window "Unmapped"

That might help to find what key/key combination is not jet signed as certain hotkey as well as all available keys that are even possible to use.
