Question studio lighting and gun material

Hello fellow artists, I am having trouble with studio lighting and I want to know what are the right settings for the area lights and position. Also, I am using maya and could you suggest a setting for the mia_material_x so it will look like a gun? I tried but it came up with this and it looked like a lambert shader.

Your use of colour and lack of textures aren't helping unless ur going for a cartoon cg look?

If not get some proper hi res textures on there. Diff spec bump. Are u using reference?
