HCR MINI-Challenge #37: Femme Fatale (Kristanna Loken) cyborg T-X

Organic modeling is not my thing. But I would still like to enter this contest with Kristanna Loken. She is best known for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, BloodRayne, and TV series Painkiller Jane. In Terminator 3 She played the cyborg T-X (Terminatrix). There is a poster for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles showing Cameron (Summer Glau). It has just her head and torso suspended as if she was under construction. For a mash up I would like to try swapping out Cameron for cyborg T-X (Kristanna Loken).

God, Loken was so baby faced. That's always the hardest for me when I'm trying to model the face to look soft a squishy when modeling in a medium that looks like clay. Lately I've found the Form Soft brush to be indispensable in shaping soft looking skin.

That mane of long hair is not doing her figure any favors. (what is my deal with commenting on everyone's hair tonight?) They should have had her go topless but then give her barbie doll breasts. What use would a cyborg have with nipples.

Good Luck

cyborg T-X WIP

Image 1: took a base female model and got some base portions.
Image 2: made the cutouts on the arms and torso. Some sculpting on the head.
Image 3: sculpted the face using a projected image for reference.
Image 4: moved and formed the ear using a side image.
Image 5: Made some of the mechanical parts. For below the torso.
Image 6: Added more mechanical parts. Refined the shapes. added some spine pieces.

That actress has a very haunting face, great choice and start.

WIP playing with fiber mesh

Done with most of the modeling. Just need to add some random wires. I am trying to do the hair using Zbrush's fiber mesh. As this is my first time using fiber mesh I'm still experimenting with the setting and tools. The final render will be done using Maya's mentalray.

WIP Maya test render

Brought the model into Maya for a test render. Still trying to figure out the hair. The imported fiber mesh from Zbrush does not render out in Maya the same as in Zbrush.

render with no hair

Added some texture to the skin, eyelashes and eyebrows. Played with the lights. Put in a background image to better set the mood. Going on vacation soon so this might be my final render if I can work out the hair.

Nice one.

You could make the body white and run some cut out strips over the torso to show the mech.
Anyhow have a nice holiday.

Cheers
