Broken links in Showcase bar

Today while trying to open several pictures from the Showcase bar at the top of the page I received the following message:

WyattHarris, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I can only see the image description so they are:
The Messenger, Marco Antonio Romero Egea
Sylvannas, Kurt Boutilier

Opening other images seems to work fine.

I also get the same message for:

Miss Holly Cakes, Serge Birault (2D)
Toiles (dont remember the rest of the details unfortunately and I can't get it to come up on the showcase)

I think this happens when the user removes the thread on CGTalk and resubmits the image to just their Portfolio. Search for the artist's name and then view the image in their Portfolio.

Yep, that seems to work. Thanks!

Pity that the showcase runs into that issue though. While not overly laborious, it's certainly a time-deterrent to have to search for the artist then browse their portfolio to find the image you were looking for.

The issue has been resolved

Hi all,

Looks like you found a bug in the changes I made to the showcase bar (I'm the IT Manager at Ballistic, BTW). We've added in popular images, not just showcase images into the bar in order to give it more variety. The bug has been fixed now, so you shouldn't get any more of those messages. Sorry about the confusion.

Let me know if you experience any more issues with it.

Cheers,
Ben
