How to proceed

So I am getting into animation with the cat bones, and am going through and making all of the seperate animations im after, for a game, and saving them as seperate 3ds max scenes, then going on to the next. When i am satisfied I plan on adding a mesh to my animations, and then importing to the cryengine.

Any advice on this pipeline in terms of how to mesh all of my separate scenes hopefully once, and should i be saving animations by simply saving new scenes with those key frames exisiting?

thanks alot!!
