The world's first sculpting app for the particle :)

Hi guys.

I'm developing the sculpting app named Sparta for the particle animation.

Sparta can control a grain of particle by the level of single particle in one frame, because I adopted the pen interface for GUI.

I think it’s like a stop motion film

Sparta aims ZBrush in a particle world.

Today, I published the three videos.

In these videos, Sparta is syncing to the Autodesk products (Maya, 3dsMax, Softimage).

Maya: https://vimeo.com/47343379

3dsMax: https://vimeo.com/48431342

Softimage: https://vimeo.com/46968905

Of course Sparta can connect with other CG software.

e.g. Realflow, Houdini, Cinema4D, LightWave, modo601, TP5, Krakatoa

This is because, Sparta supports Realflow's ".bin" format.

The reason why I am developing this app is I think that the current general technology is so complex :(

e.g. Using node base system, Writing expression.

It's is really flexible and powerfull, but I thinks it's not the technology for the artist.

I want to replace this technology by more easy and simple technology.

Please download Sparta from spartaproject.com, if you want to try Sparta.

Your suggestion about Sparta is very helpful for me.

http://spartaproject.com/

And, this is the activation cotde for the paid version of Sparta

It's available until 10/31/2012, and It's for verification of the functionality of the paid version.

A really good idea.
Congrats on actually turning it into a feasible application.
You should also make sure to copyright it or something, because it's only a matter of time before this tech gets integrated into the big tools.

It's an interesting looking application, but one should be aware of the "fine-print" ("Q&A"), which states it can only be used while connected to the Internet at all times.

I updated Sparta

Hi guys.

I updated Sparta to Rev.24

1) Computing speed improvement

Importing speed of cache became 5.5 time faster than before. And, 25% improvement of a computing speed at Sparta whole. In addition, the downloading process of a sample scene is computed on the background now. Being fast is a god in CG world.

2) Shading enhancement

New algorithm to generate a normal vector is introduced. You can easily seize an exact shape of a point cloud than before. And it's computed real-timely like a progressive render. In addition, an accuracy of Normal Brush was increase in conjunction with this algorithm.

3) Bug Fixes

We fixed several bugs of Sparta. Sparta became more stable than before.

Activation Code

BIN Importer for Blender

The Blender artist named @uimac developed “RealFlow .bin Importer for Blender 2.6” to share the particle information in between Sparta and Blender. I'm surprised about it. Cool.

$639 for a year long license is excessive, very excessive.
Especially seeing as it constantly crashes for me on both of my workstations and the icons have no pop up indication as to what they actually do.

A price of Sparta by JPY has already been decided. But, the price by USD became 15% off the price by impact of the yen's depreciation which is continuing from the end of the 2012. It's now about $550.
