Here´s the finished piece.

Rebeccak, I work as a graphic designer, mainly books and covers. The painting is only for fun I have absolutely no education in painting, and have trouble drawing a straight line with a pencil. Why I can paint and draw on the computer I have no idea I haven´t done it for long, my first piece (the babyface shown in another thread here on the forum), is from last year.
I have some trouble getting away from the realistic part, and that is my next challenge - to try to paint looser.

Thanks for your interest and for the comments on the painting.

SaraD,

Wow, this is a beautiful piece! You're amazingly fast. The only thing that stands out to me as being off is the nose / lips size and shape relationship. Other than that, this is really fantastic!

It's amazing that you don't have drawing/painting training. Really? Never even one drawing class? That's slightly depressing!

Thanks for posting a bit about yourself. Just saw your post for OFDW 006...trundles over...

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

franzboas,

Hey, good to see you back! Just so you know, the most current OFDW is:

Open Figure Drawing Workship with Hong Ly and Rebecca Kimmel 007

I hope you will join us there! It just started this Monday, and will run for 2 weeks.

I think you've got the twist established quite nicely. One Workshop I think you might quite enjoy and benefit from is:

Cheers,

~Rebeccak
