Nurbs Curve - Bevel Plus: problem/question.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make the caps on a bevel plus have the same topology as the extruded surface. By that I mean made up of quads not just 1 large face which I think is a "Ngon" (is that the right term?).

I had an illustrator object which I imported into Maya before performing a bevel plus on the imported nurbs curves to create a polygon made up of quads with a set count.

I would like the big face at the front to have the same edges/topology as the side of the letter.

If anyone could tell me how to do this it would be much appreciated. I have tried several methods to create these 3d letters including planar then extrude, lofting between a duplicate of the curve and so on.

If there is a better method that I should be using please let me know.
