Help with Vray shader

Hi

I'm trying to get the material of attached image. So far, these are my settings:

I have two Fresnel nodes, one connected to the diffuse and the other to the self-illuminance:

DiffuseFresnel
Front color: blue
Side color: white
IOR: 1.100

SelfIlluminanceFresnel
Front color: black
Side color: white
IOR: 1.100

Reflection: white
Reflection glossiness: 0.5

Refraction: gray (value is 0.5)
IOR: 1.000

I'm getting mixed results. The glow effect is not so noticeable and the transparecy of the material makes it look like glass. Any ideas?

pretty sure it's just a flat color (black) with fresnel/facing ratio fading to light blue on edges and then in composite stage adding that frame over other anatomy

You shouldn't need diffuse - I'd start with just fresnel in the self-illum channel, and refraction if you want to see through it. Not sure you even need reflection.

An IOR of 1.0 will turn off any bending of light, btw.
