painting in modo vs in zbrush

Hi everyone. I would like to hear some thoughts about the painting features in both Modo 601 and Zbrush. If you were only considering the texture painting workflow alone, which product do you feel has the best thought out/developed process? I plan to buy both, but am wondering which I should buy first to paint some life-like looking skin on an animal. (Mari isn't an option right now, as I can't justify that price tag if some serious modeling tools aren't thrown in also (even though this question is explicitly concerning texture painting tools)).

Thanks, I know some people get annoyed by these types of questions and say "It isn't the software, it's the artist.", but... good software.... helps.
