if you want to make these in Photoshop. you can paint it with a soft brush dark red color then small soft brush orange color on top of it then smaller soft brush whitish orange on top of it.
you should use these reference images to make it. or you can crop out some embers from these images and paste it on your image with screen, lighten, color dodge, overlay and vivid light blending modes. or you can create brushes from these references.

This is very simple - no need to copy them from a photo.
Round soft brush
Paint the embers with a red color - I used 192 31 2
Duplicate the ember -layer
Hue/Saturation -> Make the cloned embers a yellow color. I used 254 212 62
Set the cloned ember -layer blend mode to color dodge
Nightshade UV Editor (script for Maya) - Extends Maya's default UV Texture Editor with additional tools.

...or draw some short lines, apply layer effects (glow outside/inside, etc), convert to a smart object, and control blur factor with gaussian blur. Play with layer blend mode: done. All non-destructive, and changeable.
