SciFi Character

I'm currently making my first steps in ZBrush. I have started a character which i want to take all the way from modeling, texturing, lighting and render to a portfolio ready piece.

I started working on the base to get the proportions right and now i try to work out the details. I'll post pictures of my process and hope to get some good tips on how to improve my model and what details you think could use some work.

Till then...

Good start so far. Cant wait to see what is to follow. I also want to start using Zbrush it's a really great program.

Maybe the feet could use some work though. The reason I say that is because the toe area is flat and sharp looking which is a bit unexpected.

Perhaps you could do something like this?

Just my opinion though.

Hey, I finally found some time to Post my process.
As ths Character was Part of a course at school the deadline was so thight that i just didnt manage to post on a regular base.

Anyways. The goal was to Do a "low poly" model and to realtime render it (maya viewport hardware).

I did the modelling entirely in ZBrush and did use ddo to make the textures.

I'm fairly happy with the way it came out but there is a lot to learn when it comes to hardsurface modelling in zbrush.

What do you think so far? What would you change/add? Any critics are welcome!

I like what you have so far, the back looks good. But personally I don't like the stomach area, it looks too flat/bland and nothing really interesting going on. I think re-doing it and adding layers of detail would make it look great.

Here are some examples, of the kind of layer/details
