Applying the 12 Principles to 3D Computer Animation by Disney's Isaac Kerlow

Our good friend Isaac Kerlow who conducted a recent presentation at the 3D Festival in Copenhagen, has generously asked us to publish his article on Applying the 12 Principles to 3D Computer Animation and also to promote his book, the 3rd Edition of The Art of 3D Computer Animation and Effects

yeah, a printer version of this would be nice. it means i could stick it on the wall and stare at it untill it locked in my head.

Edit: maybe i should just buy the book, eh!

Haven't read the whole article yet but it looks pretty good.

I like the picture at the end with the old guy smiling. It looks like a pixar short (if the text on the box has anything to do with it). Does anyone know if it possible to download the animation?
And if so, where from?

You might aswell buy 'Illusion of Life'...

Can't believe there's people who do '3D' animation and never bought that book...

I'm still amazed at how dumb the 3D industry at times can be...
'You mean, it's the same principles as 2D animation?'
'You mean, you can buy a book on lighting/cinematography and apply it in 3D???'
'You mean you can apply Bordwell and Thompsons' Film Art and do directing in 3D aswell??????'

Come on people, get your heads out of your arses...

Still, nice article though for the people who seem to be allergic to paper and ink...
