Dronez: Behind the scenes

Hello again everyone!

It's been awhile since I conducted an interview, so I decided what better way to start of the month of April than with the hottest talents from The German Film School

Leif Arne Petersen, Alexander Hupperich, Manuel Macha and Paul Dreisen creators on the now famous "Dragons" have recently completed their short film, "Dronez"

Have fun!

very nice. I think that the robots mid section is kinda weird.

and is it just me or does this robot remind you of A.M.E.E. from red planet

I believe Alexander mentioned that in the first 2nd sentence on page 3 http://www.3dfestival.com/story.php?story_id=972&page=3

And it's great to hear you all are enjoying the interview!

Since my visits to cgtalk, the german film school students have been one of many groups of artists who have inspired me greatly. It’s nice to see a well thought out interview about this long awaited short. I’m going to download it now,

wow, Dronez is a really amazing short. Those guys are great, and they are still students Since i've started coming to cgtalk, i've noticed alot of impressing GFS and VFS artists

this is the time where i hate short films. They are just too short.

The movement of that lil bugger is amazing. I'd like to see 2 of them fight against each other.

I had a tid bit of a problem with the sound synching. It's most likely my computer. Oh well. Superb work.

Just wish i knew where to start when comes to building mechs.

in the picture of the 4 students that is linked above, the middle left guy reminds me of Robert James of Aphex twin

Very nice work. I'm glad to see students coming out with such impressive work. It kinda gives me hope and inspiration that I'll be that good someday if I try really hard! Hats off to you four.

Good luck to all,

Lu
