"Here's Johnny!", The Shining , Hossein Diba (3D)

Title: "Here's Johnny!", The Shining
Name: Hossein Diba
Country: Iran
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, ZBrush

Hey guys, here is my latest effort on creating likeness portraits. this time I chose a sequence from the shining and tried to both get the likeness and more important than that, to capture the insanity in Jack's face. I applied hair and fur to imported fibermesh curves in 3ds max and the render engine is mental ray, hoe you like it.

Perhaps one of the best celebrity "likeness" sculpts I have seen. When I first saw it, I thought you were just posting frame grabs from the movie...until I saw the model you posted. Outstanding job.

Wow great work, you didn't win an award for this? Very strange.

It didn't crop up/pull much attention yet for some reason, stuff like this happens.
Plugged as it definitely deserves a few more views

Great work! You really captured the essence of that shot

Only thing that I found that brings it down somewhat is the shading of the teeth, they look "stoney" at this moment.

The hair is a bit blurry, but this is often the first point on characters, where you can see that it's cg...
