SKYFALL :: Production Focus

Hey there,

CGSociety has a chat with Cinesite VFX Supervisor Jon Neill about the lengths gone to create the first CG creature ever constructed for a James Bond movie. Not any old creature but a komodo dragon, needing to be perfectly realistic close up. Oh, and a train falling through a roof.

Great job, this is in my top 5 Bond movies ever, and contrary to what you might think from me being a member of this site, I like my CG as limited as possible in movies.

Komodo dragons looked good but as soon as they moved you could tell they weren't real, motion was too smooth and their joints too flexible.
