Good one.

One more film where murdered by autodesk Softimage had an important part.

Interesting they went to a renderman solution.

The way you wrote that, you make it sound like Autodesk murdered the film which is not the case. Yes, yes, I've been following the latest (non)development on Softimage, so I think I know what you really meant, but please don't let emotions cloud your grammar. It will be interesting to see all the backpedaling on Softimage's role in The LEGO Movie.

Weird, I read on this forum and elsewhere that the renders out of Glimpse were so good, they skipped using Renderman.

On the sidebard of the FXGuide article it says

"Animal Logicís main toolkit relied on rigging, layout, animation and lensing in Softimage, with surfacing, lighting and rendering done in Maya, MARI and RenderMan and a custom renderer called Glimpse. Effects work was handled in Houdini."
