HMC #17 : Star Wars Steampunk - StormTrooper

Recent Update:

Hey everyone, looks like an exciting comp. I've decided to do Bjorn's stormtrooper, great concept.

I have just started to block out the forms.

good start ..

i think his neck looks a little short (actually he doesnt seem to have one)

maybe raise the head a bit, make the neck hole in the armour narrower at the sides and extend the shoulder armour a bit higher ..

Yep! That´s fine proportioned now. Great progress here. Keep it going. I have the feeling, this one will be a very, very decent piece in the end. Thumbs up!

Locusta: Thanks for the comment. I hope your feeling is right.

Here is an update. Worked more on the helmet detail and blocked out the armor a little more.

Thanks for the comments, especially from my fellow Portlandians.
Here is a full body update.

Why not pile another Portlandian into this party!

Beautiful form coming together here! I absolutely love the helmet and belt - spectacular.

One quick crit on the chest piece. The shape of the chest armor folds into the arm holes and sides a bit abruptly (near the armpit area) causing minor strain on the mesh - most easily seen in the specular shading of your front views.

Looking forward to seeing more!
