Angry UV novice

I have no clue how to UV in blender, I can mark seams and get it flattish, after that is were I get a little confused, you take your UVs into Photoshop or gimp and add textures on different layers.

my first question is how to get realistic textures such as skin or clothes textures ?
second question how do u apply them (I'm not sure if this comes now or later)

after this I just give up with something called a bump map which u can get from crazy bump or other things.

Complete help with bump map please !!!?

if I'm missing anything please say

May be you start with a to difficult thing. Search in Google for UV - mapping or bump - mapping. You will find a lot of information. But it also takes a lot of work and a little experience in that what you are trying.
My propose is to start with something simple at first. A body nice mapped is not so easy to do.
