What happened to the Textures Panel (2.68a)

OK... so I'm trying out Bump Map painting in GLSL mode.

I make a new image, and try to use the Texture Panel. But I can't turn it into a Normap Map at all.

It says in various tutorials I should change the "Influence"

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/D...luence/Material

But "Influence" does not seem to appear in Blender 2.68a. Neither does the "Mapping" tab.
What am I missing?

Never mind. I just realized all the materials in the file I was given were Node Materials.
Putting in an "ordinary" shader based material will bring up the Texture Panels I couldn't see.
