Is it possible to make a background with picture?

Hi all,

I want to make a background using a photography on my iPhone (Of course, it is not HDR image)

But, when i set the photo as a background, the rendering image is broken.

Is it possible to utilize the general image as a background?

or, is it wrong approach?

You can use the photo as a texture on a plane.

Thanks to reply.
But, my question is something wrong.
My question is how to use the picture as the background and a light source.
Such as following (first image is a phone picture)

Second image is rendered by the nemoart app using first image as a background,
but this tool supports only the voxel modeling.
And, I want to make a general 3D model, not voxel model, with the blender.
And, as a newbie in the blender, I wonder how to work in the blender.
I want to put the general model into my picture.
