Lightbulb Blender and Wacom pens

Hi, guys,

I wonder if you can help me out here, I am an absolute beginner on all things Blender (and Im talking kindergarden grade here)..

Id like to be able to use my Wacom Bamboo pen to work on Blender but when it comes to navigating in the viewport Ill need a mouse for zom in/out (mouse wheel button).

Is there a way I can circumvent this with my Bamboo, maybe assign the zoom in/out command to one of the pen's buttons?

Having to switch between pen and mouse everytime I want a closer look at my models could get tiring after a while.

thanks.

hi eliseu,

does the bamboo have 1 or 2 buttons on the pen? if it has two then you can probably assign one of them to middle mouse and the other to right mouse (that is how I have my intuos setup). Another option is to go to the user preferences and turn on "Emulate 3 button mouse" under Input. That will make it so that you can navigate with alt+LMB to rotate, alt+ctrl+LMB to zoom and alt+shift+LMB to pan. Hope that helps!

Hi, ktysdal,

thank you so much for your repply, that was exactly what I was looking for.
Makes navigating the viewport so much easier.

My Wacom Bamboo does have two buttons.
