Vray Fur for Maya 2012 crashes

Hey guys,

I'm using maya 2012 with all the latest patches and service packs. I'm using vray 2.0.

Every time I try using vray fur it crashes maya immediately. I've searched the net for the answer and the only person that claims to have fixed it had deleted there maya folder. I've done this and the problem still exists. I've also tried other machines with the same setup and same result.

I've running windows 7 64 bit.

Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly is there a solution?

I had to reformat my computer for other reasons last night. I now have a fresh install of both and the problem still persists.

Works fine on my computer. Tested it with Maya 2012 Vray 2.0, 2.2 and stable 2.1 (which is newer than 2.2.

Is it a specific scene it crashes on, or just any? Have you set your dynamic memory limit higher? I think it is set to 500 default in 2.0, try bumping it up to at least 5000 if you have enough ram.

I really think you have better luck asking Vlado on the chaosgroup forums.
